The P-Bandai exclusivity was worth it for the navy and orange paint job alone, and the waterslides for Piko Altidore’s markings are crisp. Assembly was quick for an HG, but the color separation on the chest and shoulders is what really sells the look on a shelf.

The articulation on this kit is surprisingly tight, and those shoulder pips are molded cleanly enough to pop without panel lining. Snapped it together in one sitting, and the fit was pretty much flawless.

The Piko Altidore color scheme pops way more in person than in the promo shots, and the decals went on clean without silvering. Panel lining the chest vents really brings out the Type-D's details, and the beam rifle fits snugly in its grip.
