Stedl HG-01 Thin Glass File

The slim profile really lets me get into tight panel lines without scraping the surrounding plastic, which was my biggest worry before trying it. I’ve already finished two kits with it and the edge hasn’t dulled a bit, so it’s earned a permanent spot on my desk.

It’s shockingly thin—I kept checking I hadn’t snapped it by accident—but it glides through plastic flash without any flex. Finished a whole sprue of nubs in about ten minutes with zero gouged panel lines. Perfect for those tiny recessed spots my old sanding sticks couldn’t touch.

The slim profile fits perfectly in my hand for those tight corner nubs on small parts, and it leaves a surprisingly smooth finish with barely any pressure needed. I’ve been reaching for this file over my usual ones every session since it arrived.
