The blade is sharp enough to cut through even thicker gate points without much effort. I've been using it for a few hours of assembly and the grip feels comfortable and secure in my hand.

Got this mainly for cutting plastic runners and the precision on those smaller gates is impressive, barely any cleanup needed afterward. It's noticeably sharper than my old hardware store cutters.
