A practical FAQ on the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Strike Freedom Gundam Type II [HATSUNE MIKU Ver.]: what it is, who it suits, and how to decide before buying.

Quick answer

Buy the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Strike Freedom Gundam Type II [HATSUNE MIKU Ver.] if you want a display piece that celebrates both Gundam's 45th anniversary and Hatsune Miku in one metallic-finish figure. Skip it if you only collect screen-accurate designs or prefer larger-scale Metal Build releases.

Why this is a crossover collectible, not a standard Strike Freedom

This release pairs the Strike Freedom Gundam Type II silhouette with Hatsune Miku styling as part of the Gundam 45th anniversary collaboration. That means its main appeal is the crossover itself, not a canonical anime appearance. If you collect Miku merchandise or anniversary pieces, the figure fills a specific niche; if you want a faithful recreation of the on-screen Strike Freedom, a non-collaboration version is the more direct choice.

How Metal Robot Spirits differs from Metal Build

Metal Robot Spirits figures are smaller than Metal Build releases and prioritize articulation and playability alongside a metallic finish. That makes this Strike Freedom easier to handle and pose on a shelf, but it will not have the same presence or heft as a large Metal Build Chogokin piece. The trade-off is space and budget: you get a poseable anniversary collectible rather than a centerpiece-scale build.

What the catalog does not tell you

The supplied listing confirms a metallic finish and articulation but does not list exact height, accessory count, or die-cast content. Check the product page or the official Tamashii Nations listing for those specifics before you order, especially if you plan a specific display setup or need to confirm included effect parts.

Strike Freedom Miku FAQ

Is this a Metal Build figure?: No. It belongs to the Metal Robot Spirits line, which is a separate, smaller-scale series with a metallic finish and articulation. Do not expect Metal Build size or die-cast weight.
Who is this figure for?: It suits collectors who want a Gundam 45th anniversary Hatsune Miku crossover piece or a poseable Strike Freedom variant with a distinct look. It is not aimed at buyers who only want screen-accurate designs.
What should I verify before buying?: Confirm the exact height, included accessories, and materials on the product page, since the catalog summary does not list them. Also check the stock option shown at checkout. If display space is tight, measure your shelf against the listed height before ordering.
How should I display it?: Use its articulation to set a dynamic pose, and treat the metallic finish as the focal point. Keep it on a stable shelf away from direct sunlight to protect the finish over time.
